My name is Yvonne, and I’m a travel-loving epicurean living in New York City. I love all things sugar, butter, and food-related. In my free time, I enjoy experimenting with new recipes from different cultures and going on foodie adventures throughout New York City and beyond. I also love travel, both domestic and international, photography, and books.

I originally created this blog in hopes of inspiring others to make their own culinary creations at home as well as to explore foods from other cultures with which they may not be familiar. As time has gone on, I realized that maintaining a food blog wasn’t necessarily my biggest priority, and that instead, I just wanted to write. So this has now evolved into a blog about thoughts on life and my daily observations and experiences. Sometimes, it can be amusing, introspective, painful, offensive, and even absurd depending on the reader, but it’s life. This is a place that provides me solace, and if you do enjoy reading it, please message or comment to let me know. Thanks for visiting and reading my blog. No haters allowed.

  1. Hi Yvonne,
I got really busy before leaving Japan, and I did not have a chance to RSVP for your wedding shower. I cannot access my email, so I am responding via your blog. I definitely would like to come to your shower. What do you think about Kazuko coming? Is it an adult only shower?

    Take care,

    • Hi Irene – no worries. I received your message from your student assistant via the phone and also tried to text you, but I guess you don’t have Wi-Fi access in Japan. I’ve already let Rebecca know (she’s organizing) that you are coming, and of course, Kazuko is more than welcome to come. I’d love to have her there! It will definitely be in San Francisco, so no worries about location.
